The names Hemp Extract and CBD Oil are interchangeable in the CBD world. We call our product Hemp Extract because we think it better reflects that our oil is not just CBD.
CBD Oil aka Hemp Extract is generally made from the stalks, leaves, and flowers of the hemp plant. Unlike other brands, however, Rational Hemp’s Full Spectrum Hemp Extract is made only from the best part of the hemp plant – the flowers and buds – where the CBD and other cannabinoids are found. Full Spectrum means the extract not only contains CBD but all the other cannabinoids found in hemp as well as terpenes, essential fatty acids, and chlorophyll.
Hemp Seed Oil is not the same as CBD Oil and is made only from the seeds of the hemp plant.
Benefits of Full Spectrum Hemp Extract include:
Many people use hemp or CBD extract as a form of natural pain relief. The fatty acids in hemp extract may also help soothe and balance the skin. Some studies suggest that a full-spectrum hemp extract that contains CBD may have an impact on general stress and tension in the muscles. Like fatty acids, CBD has an anti-inflammatory effect on the body, which may help relieve the tension that many people carry from stress and promote recovery from exercise. Rubbing a bit of Full Spectrum Hemp Extract into tight muscles may help release tension and relax them.
What is the difference between an Oil and Tincture?
- CBD oil: made with a carrier oil as a base
- CBD tincture: made with an alcohol and water base
Full-spectrum CBD oil contains all the compounds that naturally occur in the hemp plant, including trace amounts of tetrahydrocannabinol (THC). A theory called the entourage effect suggests that taking all the cannabinoids together is more effective and beneficial than isolating a single cannabinoid. That’s one reason why you might consider Full Spectrum CBD Oil rather than an isolate.
A CBD isolate is exactly as it sounds — it’s been refined so that it’s CBD only, with no other compounds from the plant. This can be a good option if you’re interested in the therapeutic benefits of CBD only. You won’t experience the entourage effect, but there is research to suggest taking CBD alone may have benefits.
Broad Spectrum Hemp Extract does not contain THC, which may be a good choice if you are required to take frequent drug tests.
Look for CBD products that are third-party tested and made from hemp grown in the U.S.A. using organic methods. Depending on your needs, you may want to look for full- or broad-spectrum products. Always check the ingredients to see that they suit your needs.
WHY RATIONAL HEMP’S PRODUCTS?
Many people using our FULL SPECTRUM HEMP EXTRACT sense an improvement in 5 to 7 days as the total plant CBD, terpenes, and phytocannabinoids engage with the body’s own Endocannabinoid System. If not, you may want to try a higher dose. Please keep in mind that CBD does not work for everyone.
Rational Hemp FULL SPECTRUM HEMP EXTRACT has an extended-release in the body with metabolism taking place over 6 to 8 hours. Please note that Rational Hemp is regulatory-compliant and contains trace levels of THC under 0.3%. While we know of no instance where a drug test came back positive after using our Hemp Extract, we cannot guarantee this result.
